This 1981 Caravelle Divers watch, rated to 666ft, has the automatic Bulova movement set in a good 38mm stainless steel case.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back and on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1981.
CONDITION
The watch case and dial do have a few small marks, but as the watch is going to go in for service before being sent to the new owner we will try and have these cleaned up. The screw down crown is working well, and operates the quick set calendar too. The two colour bezel does turn both ways without clicking, which we are not sure if it should (most divers bezels to this depth would only turn one direction, as it is used to measure the oxygen supply and you wouldn’t want to knock the bezel and extend the time underwater.) The bracelet is not branded, so may be an aftermarket item.
