HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
We can date this to having been made in June 1979 from the serial number on the watch back, or to October 1980 from the original paperwork which was the sale date. Either date can be considered valid for a birth year watch.
CONDITION
Worn, but with care. The case and bracelet are unpolished, so show originality and a few light marks. Two bracelet links have slightly deeper scuff marks. There is a slight inperfection in the crystal at 2, but the rest of the watch compensates these minor issues. This has the Seiko inner box, the white cardboard outer box, and both booklets. It even has the original packing foam! Running strongly and the hands still glow brightly. A very wearable watch.
