A nice 1979 Bulova Dual day in gold plate. Bulova have historically used just the two letters for the calendar day, making them stand out from the crowd.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1979.
The watch is in honest, used condition. The dial is very good, with just the smallest marks when viewed under a 12x loupe. The painted hands are good too, but the lume has darkened and is no longer effective. The screw on case back hides the in house Bulova 242 movement, which we have fitted with a new battery. The day wheel is in English and Spanish. There are areas of damage to the matt gold plated case near the case back – we have tried to show these int he photos, but the marks are not visible when the watch is on the wrist. Both Calendar functions are equipped with a quick set facility. The elasticated band tapers near the lugs for a great fit, and has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath. But you could fit this with a nice leather band instead if you preferred.
This watch will be supplied with a presentation box and Certificate of Authenticity.
