Not all vintage watches need to cost thousands, as this automatic wind Seiko proves.  Model reference 7005-8022.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in March 1976.

CONDITION

One of the reasons Seiko watches are so sought after is that most are made from good quality materials.  Rather than chrome or gold plate, this 7005-8022 model has a stainless steel case, which is unpolished and shows some signs of being used.  The movement in the watch is a Seiko 7005 which has quick set date and can only be wound up by shaking the watch – there is no manual wind option so Seiko made the crown flush with the case, as it is not needed until you set the time and date.   Everything is working as it should.  The dial, hands and glass are very good too.  The watch arrived on a Seiko bracelet but the bracelet was not original to the watch and short, so we have switched this to a new leather strap, which could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.  Pretty much every colour strap works with this dial and case combination.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

From 1st September 2021 we will be planting a tree for every watch we sell, working with the International Tree Foundation (Est 1922) to make this business positive on carbon.  By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
