HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in February 1973.

CONDITION

Seiko 5 models are always popular, as they give so much for so little.  This watch as a solid stainless steel case, in the constellation style with thick lugs, which was water resistant and has an automatic movement with day and date.  Sure, inside the movement is not finished to the same level as more expensive watches but it is working perfectly well enough.  The calibre 6119C movement is auto wind only, and the crown at four is recessed into those thick lugs.  You can quick set both day and date by pushing the crown inwards, and the date can be in either English or French.  The linen dial is very clean, and the larger than average case only has minor marks.  The watch would have come originally on a bracelet, as shown in the catalogue picture, but this has been lost over the years.  The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.  You can read more about the 6119-8470 here.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
