HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in October 1972.
CONDITION
The solid stainless steel case has stood up well to time, but there is a few surface scratches that could be polished out if required. We prefer not to polish cases, as it can only be original once. The 21 jewel movement can be hand wound or will start with a quick shake, and keeps time well. The date can be quick set, but not the day. we have spent some time cleaning the Speidel expanding bracelet, which is of the right period, in our ultrasonic bath. Not everyone likes these bracelets, but a leather strap could be fitted if required. But the dial is the key part to this watch. We have tried to capture how much it changes dependent on the light, and it really is different and enjoyable. The applied Citizen logo is straight, and the hour markers and hands are all clean and bright. This watch has the original signed recessed crown too.
