A nice men’s 1967 Omega Geneve, with the square case being rose gold plated. Model reference 111.071.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1967.
CONDITION
Omega list the reference 111.0071 on their website as a De Ville model, but they do not have any photos of the model. It is possible that the dial in this watch has been repainted, but as a Geneve rather than a De Ville, but 111.071 is a square cased model with calibre 620 manual wind movement, launched in 1966, so everything else does match up. We have only seen a handful of rose gold plated watches before – they are far rarer than the regular yellow gold plated cases. Even the signed buckle is rose gold plated. The dial is clean, and the crown is signed too. The strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour or material if preferred.
