This ladies 1966 Omega is bigger than most ladies watches of this period, which is great for a gold cased watch.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the watch movement caseback we can accurately date this watch to 1966.  The case was hallmarked for London 1965, but they couldn’t have been put together until 1966.  There was punitive taxes in the Uk on imported gold watches, so it was very common to import the case and movement separately and pair them together in England.

CONDITION

The highlight is the large for the period dial that is very clean and easy to read.  The case doesn’t look polished at all, and has good strong lugs,  The manual wind Omega 620 movement is running very well and, as this has no date function, is very easy to pick up and wear occasionally or everyday.  The bracelet is an expanding Lessufloy of Italy gold plated item, that will be cleaned in our ultrasonic bath before being sent out.  The case back doesn’t have any inscription.

SIZE

25.4mm wide including the signed crown, mm thick.  Takes a 13mm strap.  The bracelet will fit a maximum wrist size of approximately 165mm.
