CONDITION

Omega launched the Ladymatic line in 1955, and it was the smallest automatic movement in production.  Before this automatics were only for men’s watches, or they were much larger.  But by shrinking the movement size Omega did not reduce the quality.  The movement in this watch is a Calibre 661 is a 24 jewel movement with a long reserve and was adjusted to two positions for accuracy.  Most of the watch industry just made ladies watches to be pretty, but Omega made them to be just as technically competent as a man’s watch, but also pretty.  The Ladymatic name disappeared from the authorised dealerships for a long time, before making a more recent return.  You can see the current range here, and prices are between £6,350 and £29,435.  Our watch is far cheaper, but it is also far smaller and of course not being new there are some marks.  The case has tool marks, and the dial has specks of dirt that look worse in the enlarged photos than on the wrist.  We have added a new leather band, cleaned the case and replaced the crystal with a new one so the watch looks great.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
