HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the supplied guarantee we can accurately date this watch to being sold in September 1963.
The watch is in very good order as the highly enlarged photos show. The thick, 20 micron gold plate does not look worn through in any area, although the watch does show light marks from being worn at some point. It clearly hasn’t been a daily wearer though. The hand winding movement is keeping time well and the dial is exceptionally clean for a non water proof watch of this period, when the majority of people smoked. Transglobe watches are still in production, an the brand is now owned by Grovana, who also make the Revue Thommen watches.
This watch will be supplied with the original branded presentation box, original guarantee and our Certificate of Authenticity.
