This Girard-Perregaux Gyromatic features one of the nicest watch movements ever made, from a high end watch maker founded in 1791.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

We can date this to approximately 1967 because the earliest service marks are for 1969.  Girard Perregaux do not release the serial numbers on their database but will tell you the exact date – for 120CHF!

CONDITION

The dial has patination across it, and we have included a photo of the dial without the glass so buyers can see the marks without reflections.  These dials can be refurbished but we personally prefer originality.  The case is gold plated with 80 Microns of plate – twice as much as Rolex used.  there is some wear through the gold plate but it doesn’t detract from the overall appearance. The new perspex on the front is unmarked.  Also has the original signed crown.  This 39 jewel automatic movement is one of our personal favourites.  The watch has recently been adjusted and is keeping very good time, and has had a new crystal fitted.

SIZE

32.5mm wide including the crown,  12.7mm thick including the curved glass. Takes an 18mm strap.
