A very clean example of a c1964 Ingersoll that doesn’t look like it has been worn much in the past few decades.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the styling, and movement production dates we estimate this watch was made in circa 1964.
CONDITION
These 5 jewel hand wind movements were built in Wales in a joint venture with the more upmarket Smiths brand. This particular example has very, very few signs of wear – the case edges are a giveaway sign on gold plated cases of wear, and these are all in good condition. The case back looks perfect, and the dial is very clean (remember, in this period most people smoked and this could quickly ruin watch dials). On what we believe is the original expandable bracelet.
SIZE
18.7 mm wide including the unsigned crown, 8.8 mm thick. Takes an mm strap. The bracelet will fit a maximum wrist size of approximately 170 mm.
