This classic Seiko 5, model 7S26-3170, still has the original bracelet and is in very good condition.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in June 1998.
CONDITION
This watch has had a very easy life, judging on how it looks. The original signed hardlex crystal that Seiko use can show scratches quite easily, but the glass on this one arrived with just the a couple of marks around the edges. The clasp has a few desk marks too, but no real damage. We have found more on this model with this handy guide here that explains a lot about the watch, including the fact that these are auto wind only. The day wheel on this example can be in either English or French. The bracelet has had a link removed in the past that we don’t have, but has been cleaned on our ultrasonic bath. The Seiko 5 is a design classic, and this combination of white lumed hands against a black dial is easily clear to read.
