A nice ladies steel Omega de Ville watch with an 18k gold bezel, complete with box, papers and hangtag. Model reference 596.2379

From the serial number on the case back we can date this watch to being made in 1992, and the matching paperwork tells us it was sold in December 1992.

This model of Omega de Ville was first launched in 1991, and you can read more about it on Omega’s own vintage watch website here.

This watch has the full set of outer and inner boxes, stamped paperwork and the original hangtag that features the serial number of this actual watch too. The inner box has lost a lot of the leatherette like so many 1990’s Swiss watch boxes do, but it is reassuring as it shows it is genuine to this period of time. The 18k gold bezel is machined flush to the case, just showing the gold band. The eight jewel movement is not signed Omega, but is the same ETA 210.011 movement that Omega used in these watches (that they rebadged the 1379). The buckle and crown are both signed with the Omega logo, and the glass is near perfect. The strap is new, and the battery will be replaced before the watch is sent out. The case back is inscribed for a long service award from GBC (Guilford Borough Council?) There is the option of buying a new quartz ladies Omega de Ville in steel and 18k gold, albeit on a bracelet, for £3,520.

This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box, papers and our Certificate of Authenticity.
