This 1987 Seiko Sports 100 Chronograph has the high quality 7A48 movement – 1/10th seconds, date and moonphase.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in September 1987.

CONDITION

The 7A movements from Seiko are highly collectible.  As well as pioneering, (the worlds first 1/10th second analogue chronograph) the 15 jewel quartz movements are all metal, allowing them to be serviced and repaired if needed.

This model has the moonphase at 12, with the date around it.  Moonphase is one complication that quartz suits ideally – if you have more than one watch you can return to this one when it suits and the moonphase will be right.  It even has a quick set feature, and you can find out the phase of the moon here.

This example is as good as you will find.  The bi metal case and bracelet is very good, almost unworn, with just the lightest of scuffs.  The glass is perfect.  The dial is just off white – we’re not sure if this was designed like this or has faded.  The bracelet is full length too – many of these are shortened and the spare links lost, but not in this case.

This watch will be supplied with our Certificate of Authenticity.
