This manual wind Breitling Callisto chronograph has the Lemania based movement, and is in great condition.  Model reference 80520.

From the supplied matching paperwork we can accurately date this watch to being sold in July 1987.  The Callisto range was launched in late 1986, and this is one of the early models.  You can read more about the Callisto range here.

While the movement in this watch is commonly called the Breitling calibre 11, this is heavily based on the Lemania 1873 , which in itself can be traced back to the Lemania CHRO C12.  So not only are we talking about an excellent mechanical movement, but one other movement that developed from this lineage was the Omega 321 that are found in early Speedmasters, including the moon watches.

The brushed case is very good, with just slight marks.  The unidirectional bezel has yellow gold riders at 12, 3, 6 and 9 and are correctly not painted (although we apologise for the yellow fluff on the 15 rider in some photographs – this has been removed).  The watch was only originally rated as water resistant to 30m, so the onion crown and pushers were never designed to screw down.  The dial is very clean, although the mineral glass anti reflective coating does have some small marks.  The leather strap is new.  The watch runs nicely, and the chronograph resets to 12 perfectly.

This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box, papers and our Certificate of Authenticity.
