Very good example of a Series 1 Tag Heuer Formula 1 that is complete with box and papers.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the stamped warranty booklet we know this watch was sold in 1986.

HISTORY

This is an iconic Tag Heuer, and Calibre 11 give a much better history than we could hope to do here.  The first watch featured is the same model as this one:  http://www.calibre11.com/overview-tag-heuer-formula-1/

CONDITION

We can only find one thing wrong – the lume pip from the bezel is missing.  Everything else is near perfect, the tiniest of scratches on the case back from a battery change at some point, but look at the photos and video to see for yourselves.  Heuer became Tag Heuer in 1985, and the crown on this watch is an earlier Heuer one.  This is not uncommon, as Tag Heuer often used the existing Heuer stock parts like crowns, buckles and casebacks on the transition watches. One of the very best examples available.

SIZE

37.8mm wide including the recessed crown, 9.4mm thick. Takes an 18mm strap.  The Tag Heuer strap is new and unworn, and can be cut down to suit smaller wrists.
