A complete and good condition 1976 Timex, with semi sweep movement (see the video)
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the original paperwork supplied we know this watch was sold on the 4th December 1976.
CONDITION
We love to find watches with a full set of paperwork. This has the box, the cardboard outer box, the instruction manual (handing for setting the day date feature) and the guarantee card. On top of this is two extra links that look unused. As you would expect from a quartz the watch keeps great time, and has three beats per second so the second hand sweeps rather than ticks round like standard quartz watches. The case is unpolished, evidenced by the original factory graining being easy to see. There is a mark on the side of the case near 2. The bracelet has been in our ultrasonic cleaner and the crystal polished, so this is ready to be enjoyed.
SIZE
40.6mm wide including the crown, 14.1mm thick. Takes a 19mm strap. The bracelet will fit a maximum wrist size of approximately 192mm without the two extra links being fitted, but about 210mm with the links installed.
