This 1974 Citizen Cosmotron electronic watch, model number 60-5115, has a day date feature and zero button to syncronise the second hand.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in February 1974.
CONDITION
The watch has one flaw – the mineral crystal has a scratch down the centre. Once we find a new crystal then this watch will be in great condition. The dial and hands are close to perfect, the stainless steel TV case and bracelet just show light scratches. We have cleaned the bracelet in our ultrasonic bath, but it probably wasn’t needed – this watch is close to unworn, witnessed by the original sticker on the case back after 40+ years. The high beat movement is battery powered, so you get a sweep second like a mechanical watch but with the ease of a battery to power it. If anyone knows of a spare crystal for case style 4-790148Y then please do contact us.
