With original paperwork this Favre-Leuba watch is quite a find. Clearly hasn’t been worn an awful lot, and when it was it was worn carefully.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
We can date this interesting and quite rare watch to being sold on 16th May 1970 from the original guarantee supplied with the watch.
CONDITION
Great. The unusual design stainless steel watch case (which wears very comfortably BTW) is actually a rounded square, sitting at 45 degrees over a more conventional c-case. The original dial shows no damage, and this watch has the original signed FL crown too. Just been fitted with a brand new leather strap.
One of the best markets for Favre Leuba was India. Sadly, lack of correct maintenance matched with humidity have lead to lots of franken or even faked watches from the Sub-Continent. Always insist on seeing the movement, caseback and crown to check that the watch is exactly what it should be, like this one is.
This watch will be supplied with our Certificate of Authenticity.
