This Seiko World Time, model number 6117-6019, has a GMT hand and inner bezel marked with cities of the world.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in May 1968.
CONDITION
This model of Seiko is very popular. Having a larger case, all in stainless steel, combined with an automatic movement with a cool complication it will always be a winner. However this example has a couple of cosmetic issues, which is why it is not the £400+ being asked for the better ones. The worst is the inner bezel with the cities representing time zones. We will be looking for a replacement, and if we find it the price will increase accordingly. Also the dial has some discolouration where the lacquer has lifted. The watch would have originally had a bracelet, but this one has a replacement leather strap. The auto wind movement keeps good time, the date changes correctly and the GMT hand turns once every 24 hours as it should. So in summary not perfect, but perfectly wearable.
