Omega made a Ladies watch that was automatic, hence Ladymatic. This one is solid 9k gold including the bracelet. Model reference 751.5816

From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this was made in 1966. The case has London hallmarks for 1967, so the watch was either completed in 1967 or finished in 1966 and sent to the UK in 1967.

Omega have a current range of Ladymatic watches, with prices from £6,760 for the steel watch all the way up to £32,530 for a gold version. These modern watches are larger, with chronometer movements, but that just emphasises the value of this vintage watch. The caliber 661 movement fitted in this watch may not be COSC rated, but it was adjusted in two positions for precision and has 24 jewels. It is remarkably well packaged, and with the use of specialist metals like beryllium bronze it allowed it to be the smallest industrially made automatic movement ever. The case is stamped OWC, for Omega Watch Company, so this was made in Switzerland whereas most gold cases were made in the UK by DS&S. The bracelet is excellent goldsmithing, very flexible and nicely finished. There is a small kink near the case on one side, shown in the video, but it isn’t bad. The dial has some patina and dirt, but it isn’t terrible. All is working well.
