HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
Rado watches are very difficult to date, but with a UK retailer offering the brown version of the Centrix new we don’t think this is that old and have estimated 2022.
CONDITION
This is a high specification Centrix watch to match the high new price. You get Rado’s fantastic ceramic, steel and titanium bracelet, but the main detail is the dial – or lack of part of it. Rado refer to this as open heart, but the more correct term is skeletonised. The hole at the top shows you the balance, ticking away like a heart beat of the watch. The bottom half of the dial shows the dial side of the movement, where the bridges have been elaborately engraved to reflect more light than the diamonds running as hour markers all around the dial. That is all set behind highly scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The black ceramic parts of the bracelet are also almost impossible to scratch, but you will see some scratches near the clasp. Difficult to spot at first, the Rado anchor sign on the dial rotates with a flick of the wrist. The bracelet is quite long and our sister website, SpareLinks.com, may have extra links if required. The watch is signed on the dial, case, movement, crown and clasp.
