HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
The paperwork is not completed, but this model is still available new from €365 before import duty direct from the manufacturer.
CONDITION
This is more of a review than a condition report, as it is perfect.
This watch clearly takes some styling clues from high end brands – there is a look of the Patek Philippe Nautilus to the case and integrated bracelet, the octagonal crown hints at the Royal Oak, but this is still individual enough not to be an outright homage. At 34mm this is considered their unisex model, and the bracelet only just fits a larger wrist. The watch feels better than many smaller brands do at this price point, and the case has the right mix of polished and brushed surfaces to be interesting. Look at the detail on the crown and set stone within it – very nice indeed. The thin size is a bonus when wearing it under a cuff (although Ultra Thin should be <5mm in our view), but the most important part of the review is would we buy another D1 Milano based on this experience? Yes we would.
