HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
We do not have the papers for this watch, just a Longines service case, so it is difficult to date. The blue dial variant of this watch is no longer available unless you spend more and go for an automatic movement, and the earliest version of this model seems to date from 2017. Given this, we estimate this watch was made circa 2018.
CONDITION
The first Conquest models were launched in 1954, and the HydroConquest is the divers versions. This is a set and forget quartz movement, labeled as a Longines but is actually a ETA E64.111 – so parts and servicing will always be easy and will not need to be done via Longines themselves. This eight jewel movement has a quick set date and we will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. The dial and hands are great, and the crown screws down nicely. Neither case nor bracelet has been polished, so will show light scratches from being worn but nothing too bad. The sapphire crystal is perfect, and the unidirectional bezel turns crisply. The bracelet is quite long and our sister website, SpareLinks.com, may have extra links if required. The bracelet has the dive suit extension still in place.
