HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
The papers we have are just instructions, and are not dated. The box (which is ridiculously large and heavy!) carries the emblem of Kuwait, so this watch may have been gifted by the Government or even the Emir. Seeing others that are available with sales papers they all seem to be circa 2010.
CONDITION
You can get a discount of £100 off the price of this watch if you choose not to have the box. This is because it is so large and heavy (5.5KG!) that it will cost about £100 to send alone. But now let’s look at the watch itself. The power reserve is the main focus, and it is a useful feature for those of us that frequently swap watches. But the subtle curved sapphire crystal is very good too, and the slate blue grey dial is a treat too. It has some of the most crisp hour markers we have seen fitted, and the hands have great lume. If you have experience of Corum watches you will know the quality they insist on. This Romulus (shown as Romvlvs in some places, using the Roman numerals to link Romulus in a similar way to Bulgari/Bvlgari do.) has a chunky feel, and a solid weight to it. The thick bracelet has a hidden sprung clasp, branded of course. The bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath.
This watch will be supplied with the original inner and outer presentation boxes, Corum pen, Corum silver cufflinks, instruction book and our Certificate of Authenticity.
