HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
We do not have the sales paperwork for this watch, but we have found others with the same reference number and paperwork and they seem to be mainly around 2009.
CONDITION
Along with the Cartier Tank, the Reverso is one of the best designs for a rectangular watch ever designed. Initially the ability to flip the case was to protect the watch from being damaged whilst playing polo, but while that may be a first world problem the design has been in constant production for 90 years. When you think JLC you think Reverso. The Grande Taille was introduced as a bigger case, but it still wears both comfortably and discretely. Inside is a hand winding calibre 822, and we have not opened the case as this watch was service by JLC in January 2022 and we do not want to affect the warranty. There are signs the watch has been worn, with light surface scratches, but the case back has never been engraved. The bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath, and while it is not full length it will fit most wrists. The bracelet can also be swapped for a leather strap if you wanted, but the bracelet is a high quality item and we would suggest keeping it on the bracelet at least at first.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box, the receipt for the service, and our Certificate of Authenticity.
