This all original Tissot PR50 is likely the cheapest way to get a Swiss watch on a bracelet with sapphire crystal.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
Normally modern Tissot watches can be difficult to date, but we have just had (and sold) a very similar watch, with a quartz movement and papers and even a brochure showing the range. That watch was sold in 2008.
CONDITION
Tissot have always been good at providing a lot of specification for the money, and this PR50 is a good demonstrator of that. This watch has a stainless steel case and bracelet, highlighted with gold plate. Inside that is a 7 jewel ETA 955.412 movement, as found in many a more expensive watch. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. The sapphire crystal is perfect. The bracelet is long, and has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath. The gold plating is showing some wear, but that is not unusual with this type of design. The PR part of the PR50 name originally stood for Particularly Robust, and we have example of the PR range from the 1970’s to back that up.
