HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
The Calypso range was first introduced by Maurice Lacroix in 1990, fifteen years after their first watches. You can read more on their brand here. Sadly the paperwork is not dated at the time of sale, but the booklets were printed in 2004 and 2005, so we think this watch was made shortly after the newest date.
CONDITION
This watch is a high specification, which helps t justify the new prices of Maurice Lacroix watches. The brand has undergone a resurgence thanks to introducing their own movements, including one that has square gears visible on the dial side which is very clever. This ladies watch has a 5 jewel ETA quartz movement, wrapped inside a stainless steel case. The bezel is 18k gold, and the bracelet has 10 links also capped in gold. The bracelet is well put together, with screw in links and a machine finished butterfly clasp, and it has been cleaned in out ultrasonic bath. The watch case has screws holding on the case back, and we will fit a new battery before sending it out. The dial appears to be machined mother of pearl, finished with white diamonds.
