The Long Island was even more art deco than the normal Franck Muller models. Model reference 950 QZ.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
The Long Island range were launched in 2001, and this has a very early serial number so we can be pretty sure it was made around the same time.
CONDITION
Franck Muller has the name ‘Master of Complications’ that he gained whilst working at Patek Philippe, but ironically the simpler watches are easier to read and live with. This Long Island model has a very solid 18k white gold case, sapphire crystal, and a beautifully finished dial. The size originally was designed for women, but that was when everyone was making very large watches. Now it more accurately a unisex watch, and we have it pictured on a mans wrist. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred, and is fitted with the original 18k gold buckle stamped FM on the inside.
This watch will be supplied with the original leather presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
This watch has been checked against the Watch Register and has not been reported as lost, stolen or implicated in fraud, and a copy of that certificate will also be included.
Please see the HD video for more detail. All photos and videos are part of the description and are of the actual watch unless mentioned. We do not photoshop any pictures, and the images are copyright of birthyearwatches.com and should not be used without permission.

From 1st September 2021 we will be planting a tree for every watch we sell, working with the International Tree Foundation (Est 1922) to make this business positive on carbon. By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
