An automatic tank design, this Milleis has the excellent Havana tobacco dial.  Model reference 65308.

Baume et Mercier launched their Milleis range in 2000.  Given there is little else to go on, and new models tend to sell best when near launch, we are estimating that this was was made circa 2001

Some of the Milleis range are uninspiring, particularly with the more common silver, white and black dials.  The ingredients of a decent watch are there – stainless steel case, sapphire crystal  and an ETA based automatic movement, but nothing made them stand out.  But the Havana tobacco brown dial on this model changes that.  The left and right sides have a pattern on it that helps the light bounce around, and the condition of the dial is superb.  The case is unpolished so will show light marks, but they are mainly on the flanks and easy to have polished should you wish (we do not polish watches here).  The leather strap is used and kept as as to keep the 16mm clasp.  The clasp is a Cartier style, so replacement straps do not need holes and tend to be made from alligator or crocodile, which we haven’t fitted as we can not export these outside of the UK.  This is explained more in the video.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
