This Tag Heuer is the full sized, 42mm case, and was one of the first redesigns to update the 4000 and 6000 series watches.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

In 1999 Tag Heuer were bought by LVMH from Technique d’Avant Garde (TAG), and the ranges were updated.  As well as new watches, a new logo started to trickle in, and this watch is one of the new designs that has the old logo on the dial and caseback, but in the clasp the new logo makes an appearance.  On top of this the same WT1110 model we have found with papers seem to all date from 2000, so we are pretty happy with this estimate to a production date.

CONDITION

The watch has been worn, and the bracelet might benefit from a polish – we have cleaned it in out ultrasonic bath, but we don’t like to polish any part of a watch case or bracelet as some customers prefer the lived in look and we can not recreate that.  You can only be original once!  The watch case itself is showing just minor wear, and the original, signed, screw down crown is working perfectly.  The unidirectional, 60 click bezel is turning positively and still features the lume pip in place at 12.  The bezel on these never had paint applied to the numbers or markers unlike some other brands.  The black dial and hands are perfect, and the lume is still useful.  The screw down case back is lightly pitted, but protects the Tag Heuer branded ETA movement nicely.  The sapphire crystal is unmarked.

This watch will be supplied with our Certificate of Authenticity.
