HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
The Super Professional was the last watch designed by Heuer before the TAG takeover, and the earliest ones from 1984/5 feature just Heuer on the dial (although often with TAG Heuer crowns or clasps). In 1995 the model designation changed to WS2110, which it stayed with until the model was discontinued in 1999. We have estimated our watch at the mid point between these years.
CONDITION
This Super Professional had a complete service by TAG Heuer in 2018, for which we have the paperwork. At the same time the dial and hands were replaced for new ones, so the lume on these is like a two year old watch and very good. The original dial and hands are also included with the guarantee card, and of course the serial number on the guarantee matches this watch. The movement in this watch is an automatic ETA 2892, so not difficult to service, but the case is a unibloc design. These are great at keeping water out, but you do have to remove the bezel and then access the movement from the front. But with the Super Professional being a proper tool divers watch the watch resistance was more important that looking at the movement! As well as 1,000m or 3,330ft water resistance you also get a unidirectional bezel with pronounced grip points, to enable a diver to adjust it whilst wearing gloves. Also included is a screw down crown, which is signed, and the original bracelet that has the wetsuit extension part still working. Apart from light surface scratches and some paint missing from the 3 of 30 on the bezel the watch is in very good order.
This watch will be supplied with the TAG Heuer service box, service papers, original dial and hands and our Certificate of Authenticity.
