The Elelgante range from Junghans is not a watch you see often, and it was only available for three years when new.  Model reference 041.3711.

We have found this watch in the Junghans catalouge for 1996/1997, and the model ran until 1999.  We therefore suggest this watch was made circa 1997.

Normally when you think of German watches you think of the high end brands like Sinn, Tutima, Glashütte Original and the like, but Junghans were always a more affordable alternative.  Founded in 1861, by 1903 they were the largest clock manufacturer in the World.  More recently they would best be known for their radio controlled watches, or the Max Bill Bauhaus watches.  The Elegante model is just that.  With a sub seconds dial set within a Guilloche effect rectangular dial it is more Art Deco than Bauhaus.  Powered by a set and forget quartz movement, in an all stainless steel case and with a sapphire crystal on top it does everything you need and nothing more – just like a dress watch should.  We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner.  The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
