HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
It is not possible to accurately date Oris watches from this period without the original paperwork which sadly we do not have for this watch. However this watch has a later model reference number, and does not have the red rotor fitted to later watches, so we can estimate this watch was made circa 1996.
CONDITION
When people think of tank style watches they tend to think of the original, Cartier tank watches. But these are expensive, even in steel, and this Oris adds a 25 jewel automatic movement with calendar whilst saving money. That calibre 561 movement is ETA based, and everything is working including the quick set date. The dial is good, but the hands do have some staining to the lume material. The size is on the smaller size, so this is better described as a ladies or unisex watch and we have photographed it on both male and female wrists. The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.
