Designed by Danish silversmith Allan Scharff, this Georg Jenson silver cased watch is very sought after. Model reference 2363.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
This one took some digging, but the website Jensonsilver.com have a similar watch with details about the production run, when it was designed, and which exhibition it was displayed at, and they specialise in Georg Jenson silver, so who are we to question them? They state it was one of just 1,000 made, designed in 1994 for a 1995 exhibition to celebrate Allan Scharff’s 50th birthday. He trained as an apprentice at Georg Jenson and returned to them as a designer around 1990.
CONDITION
The model is apparently called Time Flyes (sic) because when the scalene triangular hands are at ten past two they resemble a flying bird – and they really do. The solid silver case, designated 0.925 sterling silver standard, has four sides to the bezel that run off each other rather than meet at the corners. It resembles older Audemars Piguet watches to us, but with a modern, Danish twist. Some of that feeling may be due to the thin case, at just 5.5 mm thick. The movement is and ETA 7 jewel quartz. The leather strap is the original, complete with silver buckle. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
