The Chronospace was the cousin of the Aerospace, but in a steel case rather than Titanium with some other differences. Model reference A56011
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From checking documents from the BHI, watches that have sold with paperwork and the online unofficial Breitling museum we can date this Chronospace model to being made circa 1994.
The Chronospace has a bezel more akin to the Navitimer, Breitling’s longest running model. The bezel is quite stiff, but it is unlikely you will ever adjust it to make calculations anyway. The unpolished case is quite good, and the dial excellent. All sections of the LCD light up and all functions work perfectly. The movement is calibre 56, and it has a lot of functions. Alarm, Chronograph, 2nd time zone, perpetual calendar that only needs adjustment every leap year. This sounds complex, especially as it is all operated via the single crown, but as long as you follow the sequence in the instructions here you won’t go wrong. We will set the watch up to your timezone once you order it anyway, after we have installed a brand new battery. The glass has minor scratches. The leather strap is the original Breitling one, with some wear, but we can swap this for an OEM new leather strap if preferred. The case is larger for the time, but quite slim at well under 10mm so it is comfortable to wear.
