In very good condition, this Zeno Solo Swiss watch has just the one hand, a unique look and is very interesting for not a lot of money.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
This is a very difficult watch to pin to a particular year. Going on the size and styling we are suggesting this was built in circa 1993, but any evidence you have that can help is welcome.
CONDITION
One handed watches are not difficult to make – you just don’t fit a second hand – but they are more difficult to design in a way that is clear to read. Meistersinger are the best at doing this, but their watches are far more expensive than this Zeno Solo from Zeno Watch Basel. In order to make the watch legible Zeno have put the hours around the centre and minutes around the edge of the dial, divided into ten minute units. One handed watches are not the easiest to read if you want to know to the minute what the time is, but we do have split second chronographs if you need that. This is more relaxed wristwear.
Inside is a Ronda quartz movement that we will fit a new battery to before sending out. The case in metallic green is very unusual, and the matching green strap is a perfect match. There are some marks on the crown side of the case. The dial and glass are perfect.
