This TAG Heuer Formula 1 has had some money spent on it to make it look this good. Model reference WA1215.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
We know this will have been made between 1992 and 1996 – the model numbers changed from reference 375.513 to WA1215 around 1992 and production of this generation Formula 1 ending circa 1996
CONDITION
This watch looks so good you might think it is new old stock, but we know that is not the case. The glass is perfect, and the soft plastic bezel that is normally faded at least is crisp. Same goes for the hands and dial. The rubber strap, unique to the Formula 1 models, hasn’t been worn and has not been cut down either – we explain this in the video. But we know this has not just lived ina drawer forever because the movement has also been replaced – the period correct ETA movement has been swapped with a modern ETA movement. Our best guess is the watch went back to TAG Heuer, and they replaced the strap, movement, bezel and glass – possibly the dial and hands too. No one else would have access too the parts. That makes this one of the best condition Formula 1 watches you will likely find. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner.
