Part of the Zodiac Red Point sports watch series, this was a rival to the TAG Heuer 1000 divers watch. Model reference 113.21.07.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
The movement in this watch was first used in 1988, but a more significant date is 1990. That is when the former head of TAG Heuer, who apparently left on bad terms, bought Zodiac and started to produce watches to rival his former employers most popular watches. There were blue, silver and red point series of professional watches, launched around 1991.
CONDITION
Sadly the red point between 4 and 5 has faded, as has the red seconds hand to a lesser extent. The hands had deteriorated too, with dirty lume making them hard to see, so we have had them relumed to make the watch legible. The dial is very clean, and the bezel turns with a nice click as shown in the video. The movement is a signed ETA 955.114, in the earlier colours. These 7 jewel movements were also used by TAG Heuer, and a whole load of other watch companies. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. The bracelet is has been shortened and our sister website, SpareLinks.com, may have extra links if required. The bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath, and does have a divers fliplock extension to wear it with wetsuits. The watch is signed on the dial, case, movement, crown, clasp.
