Another TAG Heuer F1 model, and yet another different colour combination. Model reference 375.513
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the production date stamp on the movement, combined with the catalogue extract, we can date this watch to being made circa 1991.
CONDITION
This black and green combination on the TAG Heuer F1 range works very well. This one has the stainless steel case rather than the fibreglass one, and importantly the bezel is very good – this models usual weakness is damaged bezels. The lume pip is missing or dirty, but that is quite minor. The glass is perfect, and it is difficult to fault the dial or hands too. The rubber strap is the original, and not showing any cracks or crazing. It has been cut down from 8 chevrons to 5, as these were designed to be, but it is still longer than most straps and the extra length was really there to put the watch over the top of a wetsuit. The movement is the ETA 955.412, as used in a variety of decent quality watches of this period and it is working well. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
