A nice mechanical Zenith men’s vintage watch, with an unusual dial to make it stand out from the crowd.  Model reference 270.160.462

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

Zenith watches are not easy to accurately date, and this is no exception.  Zenith started making mechanical watches again in 1984, and this ETA movement was made between 1983 and 2000.  When we look at the size and styling too, and consider that Zenith launched their in house calibre 670 auto movement in 1994, we think this was made circa 1990.

CONDITION

This is a classically styled Zenith that can be worn with anything.  The dial is a soft cream colour, and may even be enamel – we don’t know how to test it but it has a deepness of colour not normally found, and the Breguet style numerals seem to be painted on top of the surface more than normal.  The case is gold plated, and isn’t too bad except for a ding between 7 and 8.  The lug near 5 is also slightly bent inwards.  The crown is signed with the Zenith logo.  There is an ETA 2892-2 movement inside, which has 21 jewels and a very practical quick set date.  The rotor is signed Zenith, and this is all working well.  The box is in good condition too, and the leather strap is new – this could be swapped for a different colour if preferred, just tell us at checkout.

This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
