This New Old Stock (NOS) Roamer watch is from a period in their history when not too many watches were made, and even fewer will survive like this one.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
This has been one of the most challenging watches to date we have seen. We can not get a movement date of production, there are no serial numbers and there doesn’t appear to be much of a written record about Roamer’s history between 1985 and 2012. The paperwork supplied with this watch references The London Watch Company, which changed to that name in 1982 so the watch if definitively later than then. If you can help then please contact us, because 1990 is pretty much a guess based on styling and sizes!
CONDITION
The watch appears to have been completely unworn, save for our photography. There is hardly a mark on the watch, and this is probably because it has lived all of its life in the velvet pouch that has protected it. If you have owned a Roamer from their heydays of the 1950’s to 1975, then you might be disappointed. This watch does not have their in house MST movements, but instead has a Japanese quartz movement. The bracelet doesn’t feel high quality either, and the whole watch is very light. But the chance to get a NOS Roamer is rare, and we do know that Roamer collectors will love this because of the condition.
