Still on the original strap, this Burberrys has a distinct and attractive mother of pearl chapter ring.  Model reference 11600G

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

Burberrys have a history dating back to 1856, but only made their first watch in 1987.  They were praised by International Wristwatch Magazine for designing their own cases, using ETA movements and having the watches made in Switzerland (although they don’t mention by whom).  The movement in this watch, along with the styling, suggest this watch was made circa 1990.  Burberrys became Burberry in 1999.

CONDITION

It is hard to imagine finder a better example.  The original strap hardly looks worn, and has the correct buckle too.  The case and glass are faultless, and the ETA quartz movement is working well.  The mother of pearl (or MOP effect) chapter ring glimmers and the centre of the dial has a intricate pattern too, almost unnoticeable.  The box though is very tatty, which is quite common for Swiss watches of this era (Omega, Cartier et al the PU leather flakes off).  We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner.

This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

Please see the HD video for more detail.  All photos and videos are part of the description and are of the actual watch unless mentioned.  We do not photoshop any pictures, and the images are copyright of birthyearwatches.com and should not be used without permission.
