This Tissot PRX has a full calendar – day, date, month and even moonphase – yet is still easy enough to read. Model P485.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
Tissot stopped putting serial numbers on the movement in 1983. As this watchhas no serial number we know it much be later than that. But we have also found a PRX advert in Tissot’s 150th anniversary book for a similar watch, so we believe this watch was made circa 1989.
CONDITION
This is a high specification watch. As well as the full calendar, this PRX was also designed to be 100m water resistant and comes with a sapphire crystal. The movement is the ETA 255.483, which is working perfectly including all of the quick set features. An instruction guide can be seen here, and a great website to set up your moonphase watch is this one. The dodecagon gold plated bezel is in good condition, as are the gold plated links on the bracelet. The bracelet and case are stainless steel, and is good rather than perfect. The white dial has a raised pattern and applied hour markers, and is very clean.
