The Tissot TwoTimer was the first ani-digital watch to have all functions controlled by a single crown.  It was nicknamed Pyjama after the stripes on the dial.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

Tissot stopped using serial numbers in 1983, so we can not be absolutely accurate.  However, our research shows that the TwoTimer was launched to great commercial success in 1986, and in 1990 the TwoTimer 2 was launched.  So we have picked a mid year of production.

CONDITION

The movement in this watch was also used by the early Breitling Aerospace.  It is a complex piece of technology, but happily the instructions have been provided on this website.  You have the ability to show the time on the analogue dial, and then separate time zones, the chronograph, date, alarm time and a timer in the LCD section (or leave it blank).

It still takes some playing with to set up, but all seems to be working.  The glass has a few light scratches, but nothing bad and no chips.  The LCD panels has no dead cells or bleeds.  The bracelet appears to be titanium, but is not marked for the material.  The sprung clasp is signed, and the bracelet is in very good condition – better than the case, so it may be a later replacement?  The case plating on the sides isn’t great, but that is difficult to see with the watch on the wrist.  This watch was originally designed for men, but could be worn by anyone today.

This is about as 1980’s as ET listening to Duran Duran on a Walkman!

This watch will be supplied with our Certificate of Authenticity.
