A slim Omega dress watch in very good order, still with the original buckle. Model reference 196.0317.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the inside of the case back we can date this watch to being made circa 1988. The 50,***,*** serial numbers were used between 1986 and 1988, but this is quite a high number so likely to be 1988.
CONDITION
The condition of this watch is very good. Omega dress watches of this period are probably undervalued currently, but this is very clean, free from damage and running perfectly. The case is 20 micron gold plated, and shows not sign of wear. The case back is stainless steel and marked de Ville. The crown is signed, as is the buckle. The glass is free of scratches and chips. The the dial has a lined pattern, and is close to perfect – see the enlarged photo and video for just how good this dial is. The movement is an ETA 255.411, a high quality quartz movement that has a new battery fitted and quick set date. We could not find a strap with 19mm lugs and a 14mm buckle readily available, so we have fitted a 18mm with the original signed buckle. We could fit a 19 mm strap for you which would have a 16mm buckle, and include the Omega signed buckle as an extra. Just let us know your preference when you check out.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
