This Swiss Tissot Seastar is in a larger case than most 1980’s watches, and is completely original.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
In Tissot’s official company history book they state that the movement in this watch was used between 1980 and 1984. All Tissot movements up to and including 1983 had serial numbers, and this one doesn’t. This watch was made either late in 1983, or more likely in 1984.
The matt blue dial on this Seastar is in very good order, and the hands are also good. The stainless steel case wears larger than the dimensions suggest, and that is due to the TV style case – the watch takes up more wrist space than a conventional round case. The original bracelet is easily adjustable without special tools, and has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath. The glass does have several marks. The ETA 954.111 movement is working perfectly, including the quick set date.
This watch will be supplied with our Certificate of Authenticity.
