A nice men’s vintage Tissot PR100, that has subtle features you notice the longer you wear the watch.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
We know that this movement was used by Tissot between 1982 and 1985. Tissot movements had serial numbers up to and including 1983, and this doesn’t, so we can be confident that this was made circa 1984.
CONDITION
At first glance you might not appreciate this watch – you may even think it is a little dull. But then you start spotting little details that keep you looking. The first thing you notice is the striped dial, then you look closer and see each stripe has three finer grooves, and it is these that reflect the light so nicely. You may have missed the 12 sided bezel at first too. And then you have the quality of the construction – 100 m water resistance (hence PR100) was achieved with the help of a screw down case back in the stainless steel case, topped with a sapphire crystal. Inside is an ETA 955.112 movement, with quick set date, that is all running perfectly. The only really noticeable damage is a ding on the crown. The strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.
