This earlier Maurice Lacroix watch is from before they changed the logo, and they are rarely seen. Model reference 09629.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
Maurice Lacroix were founded in 1975, and the movement used in this watch was in production between 1979 and 1986. The styling of this watch screams 1982-1985, so we can estimate this watch to being made circa 1984.
CONDITION
In the early to mid eighties the most popular design for watches was gold plated, rectangular, thin and powered by a quartz movements. This Maurice Lacroix ticks every box on that checklist. This one has an ETA movement, the seven jewel 955.411, that featured in hundreds of different watches from TAG Heuer, Gucci, Zenith, Raymond Weil etc. We have observed that the date wheel can stick a little, but it can be simply corrected as this has a quick date adjustment. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. The dial is original and has light patina. The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

From 1st September 2021 we will be planting a tree for every watch we sell, working with the International Tree Foundation (Est 1922) to make this business positive on carbon. By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
